I remember now, the friday night when I played that local tournament "Friday Night Magic", and I realized that for the first time in my life I had managed to construct a competitive deck. I was happy that day, as I came out 6 or 7th out of ~20 people (the little shop that organized it was full that night because the seller, a friend of ours, was leaving for an year). I also got a trophy card and it was very nice.

I also remember a day when my school band was having a concert. It wasn't much of an achievmet but more of the highlight of my life. Anyway, just as we were were performing (I belonged to the 8th grade band back then), a dog comes running by the conductor's stage, where he pees on the superintedent's shoes!

Well, over the past six weeks, I have been stressing over Tournament of Minds (TOM), and it was for good reason. WE WON! NOW WE GO TO STATE! For those who have no clue what I'm rambling on about, in TOM you are given a problem (depending on your category, and everyone in the category has the same problem) which you must find a solution to, and present an act of the problem and solution in under ten minutes. In the six weeks before it, you can make as many props, costumes and backdrops as you wish, with a budget of $50 dollars, and no outside help (everything has to be done by the seven team members). It's a school thing, so time is limited, but we won! On the day that everyone performs, you are also given a spontaneous challenge, so basically, its another problem, but easier, except you have a short time period (around five minutes). State is basically a three hour spontaneous with minimal props, and an additional spontaneous thrown in. If you have any more questions pertaining to TOM, pm (private message) me

And if you win state don't you have to go to Perth and do it there as well?
