In an attempt to bring life to the thread, the next battle is Aragorn and Sam vs. Boromir. Thoughts?

Aragorn and Sam hands down.

just out of curiosity, why bring Sam into this at all? Aragorn will slam Boromir no worries. Sam will just be a hinderance if he tries to fight...
But yeah, Aragorn/Sam beat the snot outa Boromir

Umm, how much thought did you put into it?
Boromir has much more strength, and as you said Sam would be a hindrance to Aragorn. So, if Aragorn is worried about Sam, Boromir gains a slight advantage as he doesn't care who he hits, and Sam can't do all that much damage unless he's angry/fired up.
I'm not disagreeing with as such, just pointing out a few things in case you change your mind.

No I still think that Sam and Aragorn would win.

I don't know that Boromir is necessarily stronger then Aragorn, he just has a bigger sword. Aragorn on the other hand, trained quite extensively with Elves, learning a more fluid fighting style than Boromir would be used to fighting against. Also, Aragorn is more than 80 years old and still in his physical prime. He is no slower than Boromir, no less tough or powerful, but he has far more experience. Remember that Aragorn has fought in at least 2 wars, one for Rohan and one with Gondor. And also helped keep the shire free of assorted nasties. Aragorn is also quite proficient with a bow, so assuming that they don't start in melee combat, aragorn can score a few free hits with his bow. Also note that most Hobbits are pretty good shots with a stone. So Sam could hang back and chuck stones at Boromir. They probably wouldn't do much damage but it'd be pretty distracting.
Boromir is a fine warrior, his skill in battle led to the recapture of Osgiliath after all. But next to Aragorn, he's got nothing.

Are you right?? That amazes me.
Hmmm... Balrog vs Sauron. I would have to say Sauron.

Sauron WAS among the greatest of the mia, so I have to say he'd problably dominate the Balrog. Especially in a dance off.

Sauron. And if he's at his prime (when he had the ring), the Balrog would get wasted. There are many ways to defeat the Balrog, but only one to actually win over Sauron. Destroy the ring, not to mention all his skill and what have you. Sauron for me.

Souron would take it with hardly any effort I would think.

Oh, please, Maia versus a Valaraukar. Maiar win, they are greater.
How about a cave troll against an ent?
