LOTR or The Hobbit have been successfully done in play form, and they turned LOTR into a musical which had a successful run in Canada.

Never seen 'em, but if they played around here and got good reviews, I'd probably go take a squint... Barley

Plays are great fun, and many times much more powerful than movies. Different medium of course: there's an interaction between live actors and audience that is unique, that makes a good play irreplaceable! Check your newspaper (usually in the movie section ) for the latest plays in your area! And if anything LOTRlike comes around here, I'll let you know! Barley

If my school did it I'd be up for it. But then again I like drama so I'd do anything.

I haven't gone to many plays in my lifetime, but I do have some memories. Plays are just as good as movies, but in a whole different direction. Plays you can experience the moments, feel the rush, and get caught up in the congested storm of angelic choruses singing unto the heavens. The very best movies you can experience this to some unmarked degree.

Alrighty, Thank ye Barli ^_^ I agree, I love watching plays but I also like preforming in them! Although, I am odd and I can get into almost anything depending if I like it or not Same with music, it moves me just like that of a book or a movie. But my mother always said I had a poetic heart ^.^ Refreshing. I love talking about plays Whats your favorite play? (One you have either been to or seen in general)

Well I like being in plays and I should be learning lines for A Midsummer Night’s Dream, but I'm not I'm here.
A good play I have seen was Pan (Peter Pan) but that was awhile ago.

I quite enjoyed my school's production of Oliver. The guy that played fagin was incredible (put me off wanting to play the part cause I know I can't do it that well). Maj was supurb as Mr Brownlow and also as a hungry orphanage child/one of fagin's crooks. I also like The Importance of being Ernest. Did that last year with my class and we had a ball (well, I did. Everyone else muddled through)

Maj was supurb as Mr Brownlow and also as a hungry orphanage child/one of f*gin's crooks. Stop talking me up. There were better then me in there. I mean you did a fine job of Stage Manager or whatever it was. I also like The Importance of being Ernest. Did that last year with my class and we had a ball (well, I did. Everyone else muddled through) Yes that was quite good. I play Puck, I will go and get lots of sugar and red cordial and have it before I go on stage to make me hyper active.
