As tolkien fans, many try to learn fluent Elvish. Why not give them a hand and write an English to Elvish dictionary? I am not good at this sort of thing, so if someone wants to give an essay on how to twist certain language features around, go for it. I know very little Elvish myself, and I am willing to learn. What do I know:
estel: hope mellon: friend
Please, somebody help me out!

Ok my good friend I see that I have a bit more elvish then atlest one person in the Tolkien world.
Ampa: cant remember the meaning. Could be hook or tongue. Aha: curse.
There is more in my head but I really can't think what they are.

You just have to read the books and you find a whole heap of stuff.
Lacho calad! Drego morn!- Flame light! Flee night.

You may want to see one of the sites I know of. There isn't everything, but there is enough to take at least some of your time. www.geocities.com/Area51/7990/tolkien.htmYou might also take a little while to recognize that there is more then just one elven tongue. Sindarin and Quenya are -though possibly missing some things and as such not complete- divided each into there own kind there and then in a way that makes it much simpler to look up a word you may be wondering about. I'll let you guys look though. You might be able to see why it's become one of my favorite hunting grounds when on the prowl for some good words.

I'll check out that link some other time when I actually have time. Really I don't have much at the minute.

That link is very good. And I did know that there was Quenya and Sindarin. I meant both.

Glad to help. Yeah; that's the first place I go when trying to work on something. It may not be all too fast, but there's enough there to make it a good bet that you can find something that works.
I tried to learn a few elven words a while back but it was one of the first things to suffer when life changed, as it always dose. Ah well. I can still remember a few things for having used them and know where to look if I need something else.

Yes, life is tragic, but time moreso. During the school years, I have so many hobbies I can do, but never the time to do them. But during the summer, tis reverse. I can never find anything to do despite the amount of time I have.

Your right there. In the hols you have nothing to do and in the school time you have so much you want to do that it's impossible to do so.
