Gavin had nodded quietly after it was confirmed that things would be ready. A softened smile following the girl from the bar to where a locked door stood a little ways down the hall leading to the guest rooms.
Watching her tired little figure with a fatherly care, again the question of her age called itself to up. It had been nearly two or three years since he'd found the shivering little wisp of a child at the door. Surely she must have aged some, but he more then half wondered -when he let himself at all- if it wasn't just that she clearly hadn't had nearly enough to eat before and was only the better for what he'd given her. Not knowing much about children, he tried not to let it fret him. She must just take her time being young he kept telling himself.
Closing the door tightly behind her and making sure it had locked, Nalla stepped quietly around the room, only taking a short time at anything before crawling under the covers and drifting to sleep.
The inn fell silent as the night drifted on towards morning. A slow sunrise bringing the first blush of light over the forested hills.

A small growl escaped her lips as the sun turned the color under her eye lids a bright orange. Fair Haven sat up, she unstrung her long hair from around her neck and threw it back over her shoulders.

Everything glittered and glistened under the tough of a fire's light. Shadows danced hauntingly across the stone walls that had been worn smooth by the one that lived within them. Green eyes still refused to let themselves shut; fear and hunger had dulled with time, but still the little figure still shivered in a dark corner. A deep rumble sounded from a long hall, sending her to tighten into the shadows once more. It had sworn not to hurt her, but...
"Good morning little one." The soft, cheery smile brought a small nod as Nalla slipped into a chair by the hearth. Quietly she sipped at a hot cup of something that had filled the kitchen and now the hall with it's rich scent.

She made her way down the stairs. A soft sigh of wearyness lead into a long yawn.
She sat at the counter and layed her head down, she waited for everything to pick up.

After giving a little time to be sure his charge was well and had gotten something to eat, Gavin turned his attention to other things. The morning chill being fended off by a well built fire in the hearth.
"Mornin' ma'am." He greeted the half collapsed figure of the woman. "Might you be wantin' anything; or just some time to your self?" The gray headed man smile was only kind and he let her take her time to decide wether or not to even respond.

Fair-Haven layed her head side ways to look at the man, " Sorry, it usually takes me a whie to wake up in the mornings. Um, could I have a glass of milk with some meat and eggs please? Any meat you choose will do, I'm not a picky eater." Her smile was interrupted by a yawn.

Gavin nodded, glanced over at Nalla, decided to let her be and went to get the order himself.
Just a hint of the smell was enough to make any mouth water. Still sizzling from the pan, three slices of bacon had been set across a pile of fluffy eggs.
Setting down the plate and cool cup of milk, he stepped back a little. "Normally I'd ask to see some coin before, but I'll let you wake up a bit." His voice quieted a little. "And not many have gold in these parts; you should be careful how you use it if you've any more at all, if you don't mind my sayin' so, ma'am." His face shifted back to the same smile as he straightened once more. "Hope your room was to your liking then?"

Fair- Haven straightened her posture and stretched. "I'm sorry," she said reaching into a little pouch tied to her belt. " I don't mind you saying, any friendly warning is fine by me." She smiled as she handed him a few golden coins, "That'll be enough I hope?"
She looked down at the food, " I could never make food look like this, " she chuckled. "Yes, the room was splendid thank you. You have a very well kept Inn here, if I may say so myself."

Grinning happily, Gavin tucked the coins into a large apron pocket and bowed as lightly as he could -for someone of his build, this was no little gesture. "Thank you ma'am. We do our best."
Curled up in the warn chair, Nalla sipped at a little more of the warm, smooth drink. It was something she had come up with a while back and that she very much enjoyed. The smell of roasting coffee had snatched her attention the first time she had caught the scent of it, but she just as quickly found out that the flavor left something to be desired. At first, she only tried a little of the dark brown candies Gavin would give her, but they improved the flavor so much that she had started to play with other mixes as well; some even including a shot of something from the bar, though that was rare.
What she had now was a much simpler mix. Rich coffee with mint, cream and a little honey. The combination helping to both wash away the last haze of sleep and to warm her clear through.

She finished the rest of her breakfast in silence. After a little bit of eye wondering she noticed the inn keepers helper, " Nalla, was it?" She asked trying to strike up a conversation," How long have you worked here for Sir Gavin?"

The girl picked her head up and turned to the woman. "oh. um. I'm not really sure I suppose. A long time maybe." She seemed almost to shrug and used the motion to find a different position that would let her stay curled in the chair and able to face the woman. "He has a good heart."

Fair-Haven nodded, " Yeah, he seems a decent fellow." "I worked in an inn once, it closed down though." she got up and sat in a chair beside a table and propped up her feet.

"oh? I'm sorry." The girl's interest seemed pricked as Nalla's clear eyes watched the woman. "I'm not sure what I'd do if I had to leave here." She looked around at the large dining hall. "What do you do now?" Nalla's thoughts seemed to have just caught up with the words as her eyes darkened a notch and came back to the woman. "You're not a... a seeker, are you?..."

Very very slowly, Aren brought himself back to conciousness. dang I hate mornings, he thought as he stumbled over to the small washbasin in the corner and splashed his face with the icy cold water. "Aahhhh. That's better," he sighed, locating his tunic and throwing it on before leaving his room and making his way to the food hall. OOC/ Sorry if you didn't want extra's joining. Jus PM me and I'll delete this. I was just looking to break up the dynamic duo and make this an awesome threesome

He had been cleaning and straitening things again; a never ending job as it always was something where there was little else. Little attention given to the conversation by the fire, the barman's had been caught by the most recent entrance.
Letting him find a seat, Gavin watched the man from the corner of his eye before turning fully towards him. "Good mornin' sir. Can I get you anything?"
